POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Carpenter plays a key role in the fulfillment of the promises we make to our customers. The company brand and customer experience rely heavily on the proper execution of the following responsibilities of this role:
Working in support of one of our Project Managers, your responsibilities include:
All aspects of concrete foundation and formwork
Complete all facets of residential framing for new construction and renovations.
Install building envelope, rainscreen, flashings, siding, soffit and trim work.
Hang and trim interior and exterior doors, windows.
Maintain all company tools.
Keep a clean jobsite.
Communicate with other team members, Project Managers and Clients on all matters relating to the project.
2000 hours of carpentry work produced annually on site.
Provide daily progress updates which will be uploaded through our Project Management Software, Buildertrend.
Track hours worked in detail through our Project Management Software, Buildertrend.
Supervising and supporting apprentices you are working with.
Ensure that sites are always tidy and safe for all members of our team and visiting subtrades.
Complete assigned projects within the allocated time scheduled.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years of on-the-job experience.
Organization.
Strong leadership.
Good communication.
Time management.
A keen desire to learn.
Attention to detail.
Customer service.
Must be able to provide a clean driving abstract.
Must have own transportation to and from the job sites.
Abilities and interest with any other aspects of carpentry work are an asset.
Red Seal Endorsement an asset.
COMPENSATION:
Hourly wage of $30-40.50, based on experience

The Finishing Carpenter plays a key role in the fulfillment of the promises we make to our customers. The company brand and customer experience rely heavily on the proper execution of the following responsibilities of this role:
Working in support of one of our Project Managers, your responsibilities include:
Installing paint-grade and stain-grade trim
Hang and trim interior and exterior doors
Fabricating and installing custom millwork: specialty trim work, cabinetry, stair components, railings.
Install finish hardware (bathroom, doors, etc)
Maintain all company tools.
Keep a clean jobsite.
Communicate with other team members, Project Managers and Clients on all matters relating to the project.
2000 hours of carpentry work produced annually on site.
Provide daily progress updates which will be uploaded through our Project Management Software, Buildertrend.
